“…the particular world and obsessions of the artist Santiago Sánchez allow us to contemplate risky, energetic pieces, furious shapes, blurry looks about to explode. The drama accentuated with the gestures of the noise suspended in that moment of deep anguish and pain. Santiago navigates between emotions and puts them in front of us in scenarios of immense suffering that encourage us to reflect. The use of the image not only as a creative process, but as a tool to avoid losing oneself from reality in this psychological abyss. It leads to a consciousness that builds its own integrity and human sensitivity, it reveals its sense of total freedom from what could normally be defined as weakness but it turns it into strength, with a unfolding of emotions expressed in movements that culminate in brutal strokes spreading “beauty acrylics.” -
